good recent habits
i've been kind of sick for the past few days and had to slow down, natch. it's nothing serious, and i feel i'm on the mend already. maybe it's because of summer around the corner, my age, the post-feverish nap i had, something, but i got this feeling of "yeah, life is alright" washing over me.
i've had somewhat of a "meh" streak, and "staying positive" is too vague for my taste. this list has some good habits that have gotten me through these streaks when they do come up. no frills, just a way to check in with myself.
- feel the bad feeling so it gets out, but don't dwell.
- don't second guess, just do.
- tell your friends you miss them, love them, appreciate them.
- drink water, even if you're not thirsty.
- allow for whimsy.
- say how you feel, even if it's uncomfortable.
- don't wait to say how you feel, either.
- making room for "what if's" too much holds you back.
- go for a walk if you can.
