i done did it
i made a guestbook. i started this post after painstakingly matching up the guestbook's code as closely as possible to my blog's theme, as much as i could. i started sometime on the evening on the 23rd, finished around 3AM on the 24th, added it to my "about" page, then slept indulgently as if i didn't have to be up in 5 hours. sleep feels much better when you go into it with the illusory repose of a day off ahead.
such effort felt like i sculpted this long ago. time and creative projects melt into each other eventually. i'm surprised i did. work was excessive, may was filling up before the month even started, and i hadn't accepted that i had more on my plate than i thought.
my mind has been busy, i forgot i hadn't written since the other day. i've been wanting to write more, so logging on and viewing my homepage reminded me of the swapping between tabs of background-color: none;
css forums and my chosen cream hex code background for hours.
it's easy to get lost in whipped cream and condensed milk colors when you have a sweet tooth. my css tinkering is crafting this strawberry shortcake of a blog. each post link is a slice in a bakery case. the guestbook is a matching, varnished suggestion box.
i personally love being poetic over the mundane before pivoting into being silly. don't say i didn't warn you; you already know it's coming: like and subscribe and let me know what you think in the comments!!! or tell me how cringe or funny, or cringe and funny that was. it sounds funnier when spoken. read it out loud and see for yourself. to be cringe is to be free.
